This seems like a lot of arguments made with hindsight bias. Whether you’re the Braves, the Dodgers or the White Sox your season gets derailed by injuries to star players. GM’s and owners like to put their stamp on things and that’s why they blow it up.

The problem is simple it’s SCOUTING! They’re not good at on all 4 levels. 1. Self - Tatis Jr. 2. Draft - Collin’s, Burger, Vaughn 3. FA - Keuchel, Grandal 4. IFA - Abreu, Roberts, Colias How can you develop if you don’t have talent. Plan and simple. When you do have talent. You need coaching to reach the talent. Tony LaRussa not that guy. Those top 3 issues affected this team big time. Cause they can’t do those things particularly good it hurt this team. Then the return for Sale, Eaton, Quintana. What did you get out of it. One to Two prospects out 5 or 6. That’s just 500 or less. That’s what actually sank this team. If the drafted for position players instead hitting. Instead of Zach Collin they took Gavin Lux or even Shane Bieber over Zach Burdi. Instead of Jake Burger how about Drew Rasmussen. Even Corbin Carroll or Josh Jung over Andrew Vaughn. Who knows what would happen if they kept Tatis Jr. and drafted better signed top FA’s. Maybe this team would be better then and now. Until they do a better job self evaluating themselves then we will be stuck in this vicious cycle. I do like the potential of Montgomery and Gonzalez. Schultz looks promising as well. Time will tell.

Rockies attendance is actually down from it's peak, but the main thing keeping attendance high is the amount of visiting team fans. Lots of people who live in Denver aren't from Denver and love packing the stadium to see their team. In ten years if nothing changes the entire ballpark could be ten thousand Dodgers fans and the Montforts wouldn't see any issue with it.

The problem with San Francisco, is it the most far left city in the country. As someone who lived in the Philadelphia area, Philadelphia is pretty democratic, but this past mayor election the republicans got 25 percent of the vote. Which is the most vote for the republicans in my life time, I can’t speak for other cities, obviously cities are more democratic, and the left wing of that party as well. So when you elected officials don’t care about crimes, who cleaning up your city( like people pooping in the streets, mass drug use, crime ect) most people don’t want to lived there. Bad policies sink into every day life, including sports.
